very much worth it, you dont even need to get a pro. procreate is greatly optimized on almost every ipad

The iPad is pretty versatile and can definitely be a worthy investment. The basic iPad + Apple Pencil is good as a basic drawing tablet or second monitor. The iPad Pro + the new Apple Pencil are quite a bit more expensive, but you get a nicer display, better drawing response and a pen that wirelessly charges.

And Procreate is definitely a good option as far as drawing apps go.

I'd say go with a new iPad, it's a very fun tool IMO, and app availability is constantly growing.

I just bought an ipad air about two months ago, any suggestions of good apps I can use for graphic design/color/type...???

Procreate is probably the most popular! It's not free but is affordable and very easy to use, I'm personally still learning to use it but I think is definitely worth it. Watch some YouTube videos that walk you through how the app works and see if it could fit your workflow!

Oh yes, absolutely! I wasn't myself an illustrator but that combo really helped me getting more into it. And I've gotta say it's so cool, though I'm still not great, I enjoy drawing so much more than before. The iPad is also great for many other purposes, too! Definitely worth it.

I've been doing research on a good digital program to use. Currently I have wacom bamboo tablet that's about 8 years old, and I mostly use photoshop and illustrator for graphic work. I have an iPad mini but it's not compatible with the new app so I'd have to trade it in and buy a new ipad... People who use the program LOVE it, but I'm wondering if it makes more sense to invest in a nicer drawing tablet instead?

which one did you get at last? I am wondering the same question too.
