I 100% agree with you I grew watching Bron so he'll be my GOAT for sure. If i grew up watching MJ totally different story.

Honestly thats a tough question considering they both played in different eras of basketball. Im going to have to go with MJ as much as I love bron

Lebron is the most complete player, BUT MJ is the definition of a GOAT.

reasons:
Win ration in the finals
When MJ was playing not a lot of people shined due to him just constantly crushing the competition.(look at how many players flourished during lebrons career)
Determination and ability to never give up. (do i even have to bring up lebron here cause if you know, you know)
JUST WATCH THE LAST DANCE it will change your mindset.

in conclusion
MJ IS THE GOAT sports wise and in the NBA
Lebron is the GOAT outside the NBA, his philanthropy is amazing and no one can hate that.

Michael Jordan, no doubt about that. He changed the game and the business

This may sound like a copout answer but who you think the goat is depends on the rule set.

If we are playing with 1950's rules, small, key, strict carry/traveling rules. emphasizing Center play
Youd have to say someone like Bill Russel, Kareem or Shaq is the best player under those rules.

if it's 1990's hand checking, no zone defense rules. thus emphasizing isolation scoring.
MJ is the greatest ISO scorer of all time. you'd have to take MJ

if it's modern rules, modern zone defense rules, this emphaszied 3 level passing and scoring.
youd have to take Lebron.
