So I was gonna deal with this on my own,but I am curious as to what the people of the internet have to say, since I got little experience on the subject.

I want to play some games with a friend that are fun for multiplayer but not the big online competitive titles. I'm thinking games like Portal 2, Left for dead 2, Age of Empires andmore of such.

Moreover,I have tried to make a connection between our computers using stuff like Hamachi, but it seems to be kind of limited.

Therefore,my question to you: Do you know more of such games that are fun to play with just another person?
And also, what is the optimal way to connect our devices and be able to actually make a multiplayer?

Disclaimer:I don't want to force my friend who's a non gamer to buy games,so Steam and such platforms are out of the question.

Well Steam have Steam Remote Play which doesn't require your friend to install full Steam Client and it's working pretty well for me
also, there're Steam Sales for CO-OP Games on Steam right now

it's serious a good idea, why no one has thought about it
