Personally I haven't played it but a lot of my friends do and say it's really enjoyable. And tbh you should just try it yourself and get a refund after 1.5hrs of playtime if you don't like it (read steam's refund policy)

Terraria is definitely worth the money, especially with the final update for the game; it's essentially a whole new game.
Setting up servers and playing with your friends is probably easier if you buy the game, but still manageable if you get a cracked version.

Yes it is one of the nicest game i ever played, devs deserve that money. Man that game is epic as hell.
