The game with the best story

Beyond 2 Souls has a great story with multiple endings

i think Resident Evil 7 with Village have both a good story.
They are connected somehow.

The Half Life series is the best in terms of PC games. Really interesting play-through, and doesnt take TOO long to get through the entire thing.

GTA San Andreas has a pretty good story

I would honestly recommend Shadow of the Colossus. Its not a very plot heavy game but what makes the story in that game so great is how its slowly revealed to you and how closely tied it is to the gameplay. The game does a great job of making you feel for the characters as opposed to telling you how to feel.
