What's your favourite horror movie?

There is a sleeper horror film that not many people know about called 'The Other'. Its very old from the 1970s based on a book by Thomas Tryon about 2 brothers. Its a very good movie, a more classic older style of movie of that era. If you havent seen it dont have any spoilers watch it cold, and you will enojy it. It has some truly horrible moments in it. A true 'horror' movie. Not like 'saw' or friday the 13th scary. Not like 'the excocist' or 'the ring'. a different older and truly creepy and memorable kind of scary.

The Thing will always be up there for me, practical effects always look unsettling

I like the Insidious series simply because the story between the movies is so connected! Sometimes horror movies hold onto jump scares and forget to actually build a story

100% High Tension it is a sneak up and get in your head type

Hereditary. This is, without a doubt, one of the finest horror films ever made. A rare movie that absolutely blew away the high hopes I had.

Mine is probably Alien. The atmosphere is just something else. A mix of space and body horror just gets to me.

REC or REC2 would have be up there. Very scary stuff!
