Well that really depends on you, doesn't it?

Way back when I was in middle school, I joined a robotics club and started on the engineering side of things. I very quickly figured out I wasn't very adept at being in a workshop and was transferred to the programming team. I found that while I wasn't the most logically thinking on the team, at the time, I was one of the more creative ones and it led me to playing around in the programming IDE more than others.

Now I'm a bit biased here but as a professional security practitioner and software engineer, I think if you enjoy making lots of lists and checking them thrice, it may be a good program for you! It's all in the name though, programming language, specifically the word language.

You'll be learning to read and write something brand new that just sorta resembles english. I'd honestly suggest poking at a few books on python and HTML and see if you enjoy it at all before joining a club or program for it. I'm not sure if it's still around but when I was in highschool we used a website called codecademy to learn javascript that was pretty interactive with it. Gave me a good feel for what languages I liked and didn't like. If you end up liking it, go for it!!!
