They nerfed sg, but its still useful in long range fights like in Dust2 or Train. Well maybe not train since they deleted it lol XD

AK is the better choice for well everyone because it will be the first weapon you always use, the SG is more of lets say you want to awp but you got no money for awp you mainly would buy out SG its not recommended at all but it is an option for those who know the recoil and know how to click heads

I find the AK much easier to handle. Maybe it's just years and years of muscle-memory?

SG is great when starting out, but you should definitely spend time mastering the AK. you could watch a video or two on youtube to get started
