Do you pay for YouTube Premium ?

Honestly, it was good to be able to minimise youtube, or lock my phone without it skipping. But that's LITERALLY all I was paying for!

Apparently the monetary gain for creatures is linked to video length, so it doesn't matter if you watch 100 10 minute videos, if you watch ONE 50 minute video, they'll get more of your money.

I eventually learned i actually just wanted to listen to podcasts so moved onto that for free!

lol no i believe there are ways around it not playing when minimized + ads on phones if you use a browser like firefox. you can even get addons on the mobile firefox browser. not worth it when their only other feature is youtube originals which have never been good

ya true, but i think most people who actually pay for it use mobile version. at least everyone ik who complains about ads complains because they primarily use the mobile youtube app so ad-blocking and such is not as intuitive as it is on desktop

i use adblock.. I don't know if it's worth to have yt premium
