Definitely JavaScript. I don't understand at all how you can choose between these languages in 2021. Php is outdated and not convenient language (also tasteful). For people who are accustomed to C similar languages, JS will be more convenient.

JavaScript is far more versatile and if you can program allot of stuff with it that isn't just websites. Also if you learn it well then other programming languages will be relatively easy to learn.

The problem with PHP is how the future looks. The Stack Overflow stats show less and less people are using it each year but with that said, you could take advantage of that situation and carve yourself a niche. JavaScript on the other-hand is growing and is the most popular programming language at the moment. I can understand why since you can do both front-end and back-end development with it.

For my personal projects I mainly use the NestJS framework (Typescript) in the backend and React (Typescript) in the frontend. It is a nice combination for web apps imo.

Does the script require an affiliate program to make money? I don't see how you can make money by selling the apps unless you have the files for each app.

JS, try to learn both iff you want but JS is more modern and idk

You cannot compare javascript and php, php is backend language, js is frontend (if you dont use frameworks, as nodejs or etc).

But, if you want to become Web Developer, you will definetly need both.

I agree, both are needed, except you use plain HTML with JS for a simple website
