I main doomfist but thats because the game is boring otherwise lol. I kinda dabble in hanzo just for the insane damage though.

Depending on your experience level, starting out with your most comfortable hero or class is usually the best recommendation for new players and then gradually branching out to the other classes so that you can flex when needed. Trying out all characters at least in quickplay helps identify which ones are more successful for you.

Pick one hero from each class to start with. Best choices for beginners IMO are Rein or Dva, Soldier:76 or Mei, and Mercy or Lucio.

I remember I used to play Hanzo, and I was quite good at him. It's cool to main niche/high-skill heroes as they give great rewards for playing them and being good at their abilities. This could be Widowmaker, Hanzo, etc.- anyone that's hard to use, get good at them!
