best edit program?

sony vegas is a legend. but ae its not bad.

i use to love vegas and i would probably still use it if it wasnt for clients wanting rotoscoping

If you're looking for something for free, I would definitely recommend Davinci Pro 16. It's loaded with features and is used by actual filmmakers. There is a paid version, but that just includes more filters and other features that really aren't necessary for small projects. I used to use shotcut because it looked user-friendly and was really great, but crashed a lot and was really slow.

i use Adobe Premiere Pro to edit my videos

Lightworks is a program I use, it's easy to use but has a high skill range, it's not as good as Premiere but I prefer it over it.

I agree with you there, I've used Lightworks a bit and I was able to make a decent edit with no experience, would use again 10/10

after effects is for advanced level editors who want next gen edits
