Something similar happened to me. Ended up having to take the laptop apart, get the hard drive, copy the data to my desktop, than wipe the laptop and re-install the OS.

Hopefully you can get your drive is not corrupted.

It was my linux laptop so it was mostly used for the sake of web development, which mostly was stored on my web server.
All I would have lost would be a few files, login data, and my web tool applications. Most of my important files are either on an external drive, or my desktop pc. Good thing.

But thanks for the help ^-^

What distro, might I ask?

Dual Boot - Debian and Ubuntu

And you can boot into either? Well fuck that sucks. What about booting off a live cd and moving all of your important shit into a Mega then re-installing? I've done that a couple of times I've fucked up my installations and partitions.

Nope, it's missing the boot loader apparently.
From the way it looks, I probably lost all of my files, so I might not be able to save my important files.

Not even grub.
The entire boot loader is missing. The error is coming from the bios.

have u tried unplugging it then plugging it back in?

But actually though, you might want to consider pulling the laptop apart, for all you know it could just be a loose screw.

That's step two.
I want to see if it reads my hard drive first.

Oooh rest in peace man.

I'm personally surprised my laptop lasted this long with the constant beating I've given it
