Depends what you are getting one for I think. If its for the tech and fuel costs, then yeah.

Tesla's are worth the money but i think you have to get the battery replaced every 8 years or so

Electric is going to absolutely ruin traditional cars. Innovation will only make them faster, drive longer and charge faster.

I think the idea of Tesla vehicles and other all electrics is great, but I'm still not sure what the costs for repair are. I feel like repairing a Tesla is gonna be a lot more expensive than repair an average car.

Well, to put it simple, yes, its more than worth it.
For me at least, besides superchargers which are free, if you want to charge your tesla at home, you will pay an extra 10 or so euros in your electricity bill, compared to the 20 to 40 you spend on fuel every 2 to 4 weeks, depending on the car.
All the extras you get from Tesla, you would need to pay way more to have them in a common car. Did i mention Spotify Premium? Forever?
Obviously Tesla Model S is the sexiest model and i would go for the P85D.
You would also not be paying extra taxes because Tesla environment friendly. All that and you have the power compared to high end cars which i would say would be more expensive than a tesla.
