Wouldn't you have to pay way less to furnish offices and for electrical, water, heat/AC, etc?

And most of all just renting/buying/building office spaces anyway? That has to be huge. You're practically deferring the cost of the office to the worker who's already paying for wherever they live

I really can't imagine how working from home doesn't save companies money but Google I saw is cutting pay for people working from home. Shouldn't they pay you more? Here's a bonus for the electricity, water, furniture and just general office space you're not using anymore.

Depends on the company. I fully work from home and there are rebates and stuff to help pay for utilities.

But we as the worker can save money from travelling, right? If go to the office, have to pay for petrol, toll, or public transport fee..

Mostly corporate greed and the inexplicable need to control their employees every move for 8+ hours a day. I managed a call center and productivity shot through the roof when we worked from home. The minute it opened up they went right back to their old ways of oppressing the employees, morale and productivity went down.

Tbh the workers save money from travel expenses at first it may not seem like much but after long-term it'll go into thousands
