any good horror films??

I've really been into the horror genre recently so uhh recommend me some

Hereditary is best bybfar ive seen!

The Entity (1982). Really good horror/thriller with lots of suspense.

i dont particularly get the appeal to horror movies. can you folks give me reasons why you like them to help me understand perhaps?

psychological horrors are much better! Try the movie Get Out, Us or Memento

The appeal - for me at least - is the adrenaline rush. It's a nice change of pace from other genres and keeps me entertained and excited for other releases in other genres.

hmm i can usually not find myself getting excited by horror films at all. its usually either quite expected stuff or straight up jumpscares with isnt so much as scary as it is a little startling

If you're just getting into horror, you should check out the Evil Dead series

Blair Witch Project - it's a bit of a mainstream recommendation these days but it was good when I watched it, I hope it aged well. Paranoia of the cast gets to you rather than relying on jump scares which I think would let it age better than most.
It's also probably the only handheld camera film I watched without wanting to vomit from motion sickness.

I've heard good things about the movie "Rec" but haven't watched it yet myself.
