Unfortunately, they run the gamut in terms of tone balance between Battle Royale (contestants killing each other) and Games. Some are more realistic, some more sci-fi, and some super natural.
On Netflix, High Rise Invasion comes to mind, but it's not nearly as good as Squid Game. It's more Battle Royale too.
Not on Netflix, Battle Royale is not bad, 13 Tzameti is creepy and weird. As the Gods Will has games that feel very similar to Squid Game but the setup is a bit weak.
My actual favorite is Kakegurui (because the characters are weirdos and the games are neat) but that's in the gambler genre and they wimped out by not making the games deadly (mostly.) I don't think people who like Alice or Squid Game will necessarily like Kakegurui, I just love them all, so I am recommending it.
there are many, many death game films. my favorite is battle royale. nothing quite scratches the squid game itch in terms of visuals, though. it seems to be entirely unique in that regard
Alice in Borderland is a show but its very, very similar. As someone said above, the death game genre is huge and there are so many more other great movies though! Some movies Ive seen that are similar are Battle Royale and The Belko Experiment. The book for Battle Royale is much much better so I recommend reading that if you like reading
