What is the best preferred method for server content downloads

Best is to make a workshop collection of all the addons your server is using.

Either workshop collections or FastDL servers. Both have their positives and negatives, but for download speed and reliability, FastDL is worth the hassle.

i have 30 fps on gmod very bbad

fastdl its the fastest but takes the most time to setup

Best *basic* way:
- Create an HTTP CDN FastDL with bz2 compressed files.
- Or, create a workshop collection and have the users download that on join by adding the workshop collection to the downloads.

Best *advanced* way:
- Have some essential or large content downloaded on join via FastDL (bz2) or workshop
- Have a content downloader in-game download the rest while the player is in-game. There are a variety of addons/scripts to be able to do this

on gmodworkshop very good addons makes your game look smother

30 fps on g mod..... yep, is sad :((

my in game fps is 15 its sad.

i would prefer FastDL to Workshop Content but of course they have pros and cons
