Easiest / Best way to connect to an API? (No-Code)

I'm a total newbie when it comes to this stuff...

But can someone explain or recommend a solution for connecting to an API? I have zero knowledge on how to actually use and implement an existing API. I was hoping to find a no-code platform with a free tier (or free trial) so that I can mess around with a few different API's I would like to incorporate into my projects.

But.... all the no-code solutions I have come across, seem to have more focus on creating your own API's rather than utilizing existing ones. Either that or i've just epically failed at finding any understandable documentation that would make sense to a newb like me.
