I play mostly "artsy" indie games and roguelikes. Really recommend Caves of Qud if you're into classic roguelikes like DCSS. Rune Wizard is also an amazing one, just got released this year.

have you tried KCD (Kingdom Come:Deliverance) it has some vibe similar to skyrim but on a story rich content
BTW i am not saying it can be compared to skyrim but it has its own unique way of pulling you in.
so you may as well give it a try
