Laptop Ram to desktop ram?

is it a good Idea to do laptop ram to desktop ram converter got some latop cosair 16 gb left over wanna use it this seems like a cheap alternative so i dont need to spend more money

Laptop ram is usually quite different from the desktop ram and I would go for what you describe only on PCs that you don't use regularly, but maybe there are some good resources on the YT which will claim otherwise.
