One thing I wish I had when I first started working out was the proper resources, I stopped so many times because the resources I had found contradicted what other people told me, and then their resources contradicted others and etc...So for the beginners here are a couple of resources:

Lifesum app to track your calories, I thought dieting was really difficult because from what I had previously read you had to cut off EVERYTHING from your diet but it's actually not true. Don't fully cut off bread and sweats, instead try to find sweats with lower calories and reduce the amount of bread you eat. It's as simple as that, honestly, it's like a puzzlewhen you diet especially for beginners trying to lose weight. Do you skip that sandwich to eat a proper meal or will you eat that sandwich and eat a smaller meal? Also, try to not drink your calories (try to substitute beer with seltzer or coke for diet coke)

I genuinely hope this will help some beginners out there, I'm still on my way to losing weight but I went from 220 Lbs 5'8" to 190 Lbs with a few cheat weeks, still got a lot to fix in my diet but hopefully, this helps. I haven't been doing this for a long time but not going cold turkey on cutting off everything from the diet helped me stay on track WAY longer than what I used to do.

GL!

I go through cycles of being "fit" and can vouch for this. The longer I've been away from the gym - the less I wanna go and am happy binging crappy TV on Netflix. But when I'm faithful to the gym...I'm addicted and I feel like I have so much more energy and shockingly my house is always clean and laundry is always done.
