How to increase FPS in Garry's Mod? | 2021

1. Launch Parameters
-threads - the number of threads of your processor

-high - launch the game with high priority

-heapsize - the RAM value for the game:

1 GB RAM - 524288
2 GB RAM - 1048576
3 GB RAM - 1572864
4 GB RAM - 2097152
6 GB RAM - 3145728
8 GB RAM - 4194304

-freq 60 - the value of your monitor frequency

-nojoy - turning off the joystick control

-dxlevel 81 - changes DirectX games (graphics deteriorate)

Example:

-threads 4 -heapsize 4194304 -freq 144
2. Switching to 64bit Garry's Mod
It might be nice to boost your FPS:

1. Right-click on Garry's Mod, click on "properties":
2. Click on the "Beta versions" button on the left, select the last item:
3. Download about 160 MB, go into the game and watch high FPS!

Config name: FPS CONFIG V1 BY SHREDDER
