How do you cope with a character you haven't gotten in a banner?

My friend has been pretty down that he didn't get Yae Miko, how is hegonna cope?

he should have been prepared, i been saving pulls to future ayaka, already have 45 pulls and am in 85 on pitty, so will build a ton of pulls if i lose the 50 / 50.
