The Mauritanian, which is ranked fifth in the list of 2021 movie recommendations, was created in a real life story and sheds light on the life of our character, who has been waiting for a fair trial for an average of 10 years. The movie begins with the claim that Mohamedou Ould Slahi is a terrorist. Although Slahi declares his innocence at every opportunity, no one believes him. The fact that he was tortured for many years and that the trial process did not start also causes him to lose hope. Meanwhile, after meeting an experienced lawyer, Slahi realizes that there is reason to be hopeful again.
