In general, this is a gamemode, namely the core for developing servers in gmod. If you look at it from the side of the player, thenoooo, most servers are now complete shit, and it's better not to play on them))) And so you can safely download it yourself, and make your own (hopefully normal) server :D

I'd say maybe do a SCPRP server they seem really interesting to do and not many of the small ones right now are good.

Have seen most darkrps are based off of the rp map good or not

Honestly i would hold off on making a Gmod server imo, Gmod unfortunately has a dying play base which saddens my soul cause i love that game, but there is like a "Gmod 2" coming out called S&box which should have a very much larger amount of freedom in terms of coding cause i think it uses like C#, i also believe theyre adding native support for a destruction system and VR, super cool looking stuff i think is worth checking out.

DarkRP is a mode of RP situations and shootouts among players, there are different systems of bank robbery, etc. Mayor, Elite bandit, Bandit, Special Forces, each of the servers has its own way of earning and spending money

It is not so difficult to create something unique in the darkrp at the present time. You can make functional furniture so that apartments are rented, business, lack of professions so that everyone can become whoever he wants. A lot of things can be thought up, but the darkrp community almost never perceives something new as something good.

How about a medieval rp? I want to make one too, I think the idea is pretty cool

Or you can create an RP of a game ever made to have the unique and biggest Gmod server.
