Try 'The Mazerunner' trilogy, it's about a group of teenagers being socially studied by a group of scientists in a world doomsday scenario. By studied I mean that they are sent to a specific place whose only way out is across a huge wall maze (with inhumane creatures lurking in the dark) and they study their actions and courage/willingness to decipher the maze and find their way out (that's the basis of the first movie at least, the other two show the aftermath).
