Photoshop is the best imo. Check out new features like content aware fill, etc. it is so powerful, but pricey.

You may consider switching or trying the Affinity software, Designer, Photo and Publisher. Much faster and lighter than that of Adobe/s.

I think the best way is to use all of the things people mentioned above, atleast just to have a sense how are things working. I am using After FX, Premiere, Photoshop, Illustrator and all of them are connected.

It depends really on what you are doing but you cannot avoid PS and IL

I've been using photoshop since I can remember, Always on a windows machine as well.

Ps surely, but Figma is growing on me especially in UX related tasks.

They're the industry standard so the whole Adobe Suite
