'Osu!' Source code leaked

Proprietary software fucking over users privacy and freedoms, again.

Osu's servers were apparently hacked, with the source code being leaked to the public recently. Some of the source code includes a script that at random intervals takes pictures of your screen and uploads them to their servers for no apparent reason.

It doesn't take screenshots for no apparent reason, it's the "osu! anticheat".

Also, it was leaked a while ago, and osu! servers didn't get hacked, but the website(can't remember the name), where all their source was/is did.

That does justify it, actually. It allows the game to be played as it was meant to be, not with a bunch of cheats to ruin it for themselves and others.
IF I REMEMBER, Osu! was starting to be, or is, a very competitive game with competitions and tournaments.

I'm going to have to agree here. It's nothing personal, quite literally. It's to protect the legitimacy and honesty of the game.
