Having problems with captcha

Basically whenever someone tries to register, it tells them "Invalid captcha" but there is no captcha, I've checked it's disabled too. So what's the problem and how do I fix it?
Mybb 1.8 as well.

Scratch that, we fixed it it;s all good.
New error though, every time i try to change a group setting, it returns with this:

Seems like the query you want to run, is too large. If you're on a shared host, you maybe need to contact your host about this.
If not, change it in your MySQL config. By default it's something like this:
