Do people even pay attention to storytelling in games anymore?

For example I used to go deep in rabbit holes when playing cod.Now everything is just multiplayer now days somewhat

Personally, I do, but not all the time. I have a hard time on focusing on things for long periods of time, so it's hard, lol. Skyrim is hell to me when it comes to storytelling and lore

I definitely do. Good story beats everything else for me

I dont even play single player games anymore, It just got so boring

Agree. I've played many genres of games before and the story is one of the few things that makes a game interesting.

Nowadays I'm not sinking all my time into multiplayer games trying to get as good as I possibly can and instead popping on a singleplayer game every so often that I can just take my time and relax in, which usually means the story is important since there's no complex inputs to keep you engaged.

nope never just skip it tbh, i just move on with the game fast
