To create a torn and distressed look for your posters, you can use a few different techniques. Here are some methods you can try :

Physical tearing: Carefully tear the edges of the poster by hand to create a rough and uneven edge.

Wetting and tearing: Dampen the poster with water or use a spray bottle to achieve a slightly wet surface. This will make the paper more pliable and easier to tear.

Sandpaper or rough surfaces: Use sandpaper or a rough surface, such as concrete or a brick wall, to distress the poster.

Ink or paint distressing: Apply ink or paint to the edges of the poster to give them an aged and worn appearance.

Aging techniques: Use techniques like staining, tea staining, or coffee staining to create an aged and weathered look. Dip a cloth or sponge into a mixture of water and stain or brewed tea/coffee and gently dab or rub it onto the poster.

You could try adding a slight blur and adding noise on top of that, alternatively there are loads of grunge overlays that you can put on top of the image and using blend modes to make is seem more distressed, the overlays can make theĀ  image look to washed out and faded so you usually have to adjust the curves and levels to bring some of the contrast back.

sites like texturelab has a huge library of free assets that you can download Smile hope this helps a little bit at least

Textures are one way to do this. And you can also use the Blending Options to make the effect much more realistic Wink

use textures, should mask out sections too to make it look unique, also experiment with blending modes....could also do mixed media for a more realistic look
