It's quite easily Re:Zero if you care about writing. Once you get past season 1, the series as well as Subaru(the MC) gets much better. It's not your typical OP MC with a basic harem anime. The novel is heaps and bounds better, if you're into reading.

Yeah, I think Re:Zero is the best isekai. But only for those who like good time-travel stories.

Depending on your taste, there are a lot of isekai. From the reincarnated farmer or the reincarnated pig. For beginners I recommend Swort Art Online.

As the years have gone on since the original post, has anyone’s favourite changed since they posted? Mine at the moment is Jobless reincarnation, then it would be the shield hero.
