Maybe help the poverty is an overstatement, but in some ways it could help. But probably it will be avoided since rich people don't want to help them

it's difficult to say but perhaps in the future, but once again the decision making will be ultimately on human's hands

It depends on the level of poverty.

So there are a couple of things indirectly related with AI and we see it day-by-day. But poverty, hmm, you may have to be very creative with AI itself.

How about education? AI can seriously boost education. Think personalized tutoring. Imagine an AI tutor that knows exactly where a student is struggling and offers customized help right when they need it. More people getting better education = more people with better job opportunities. Boom, one step closer to breaking the cycle of poverty.

And then there's healthcare. AI diagnostic tools are becoming insanely good at catching diseases early. Early detection means cheaper and more effective treatments, which is crucial for low-income communities. Plus, AI can help manage resources in clinics and hospitals better so even underfunded facilities can provide better care.

Oh, and agriculture! Can't forget that. AI-driven drones and sensors can monitor crops and help farmers maximize yield. This not only ensures better food security but also helps small-scale farmers thrive financially. That's a game-changer for rural economies.

Financial inclusion is another big one. AI can analyze tons of data to create credit scores for people without traditional financial histories, opening up loans and financial services to those who may have been excluded previously. Think about what microloans have done. Yeah, microloans have been revolutionary, and AI is taking that to the next level. With machine learning, banks and financial institutions can assess risk more accurately, making it easier to offer loans to small business owners in underserved communities. These loans can help people start or grow their businesses, increasing their incomes and boosting the local economy.

Then you have AI's role in disaster response. When natural disasters hit, they often hit poorer communities hardest. AI can help with early warning systems, efficient resource distribution, and even post-disaster recovery efforts. Imagine being able to predict where a hurricane will cause the most damage and allocating supplies there before it even makes landfall. That can save lives and reduce the financial strain on these communities.

Employment is another area where AI can lend a hand. Sure, there’s a lot of talk about robots taking jobs, but AI can also create new kinds of work. For instance, it can help identify gaps in the job market and guide people toward training programs for in-demand skills. Plus, remote work has exploded, and AI can match workers with opportunities they might not have found otherwise.

Data is another superpower AI has. NGOs and governments can use AI to analyze huge datasets to pinpoint where aid is needed most. This means more efficient use of resources and a better impact from every dollar spent. It's like having a crystal ball that tells you exactly where to focus your efforts.

Then there’s urban planning. In rapidly growing cities, poor infrastructure often contributes to poverty. AI can help design more efficient public transportation systems, predict where new housing development is essential, and even improve the placement of essential services like schools and hospitals. This leads to more livable cities for everyone, especially those in low-income areas.

AI can also help with transparency and reducing corruption. By analyzing procurement data, government expenditures, and social media feeds, AI can detect anomalies that might indicate corruption. When governments and organizations are more transparent, funds can be used more effectively for development projects that benefit the poor.

And let’s not forget about access to information. AI-powered chatbots can provide crucial information about rights, services, and opportunities to people in remote or underserved areas. For example, farmers can get instant advice on crop management, or young people can learn about scholarships and educational programs.
