I want to stop being a nerd for a second and take my family somewhere

Hi, all my life I haven't done anything nice for my family.
I've spent most of my time on the computer and I just don't know how I feel. I live in brooklyn, does anyone know a restaurant or something to take them out for a chat or something?
I'd be happy to get some real advice.

I'll be frank, if you're serious about wanting to connect on a deeper level with your family, the place of choice is irrelevant. Check on Google what restaurants within your proximity have great reviews and go from there. Stick to universal meals that everyone can appreciate if you have fussy eaters. The real challenge will be working on your communication skills and have an honest conversation with your family.

If you don't know how you feel, talk to them about it in the way you have done here. "Hey, I feel like I've spent my whole life on the PC and don't actually how I feel. It may sound strange but I want to be able to take you guys out more often and have chats."

camping, hiking, or just staycation are good options

you don't even have too take them out too a restaurant just make a good meal at home and have some quality time with them maybe play a game or just watch a movie and eat junk food just hang out with them or go on a hike with them or something it don't have too cost money too do something nice for your family there proud of you either way and good on you for thinks of your family
