Grain Shader on Affinity?

Hi everyone,

I'm working on a project where I want to achieve a natural Grain Shader effect, specifically focusing on creating shadows using a fat grain (dense dots) texture. I’m using Affinity Photo and Designer, and I’m looking for the best techniques or tools to accomplish this.

Does anyone have any tips on how to create this effect effectively? Are there specific brushes, settings, or methods that work well for this kind of texture? Also, if anyone has experience with replicating an old illustration style using grain shaders in Affinity, I’d love to hear about your process.
