Do you feel like Cod will ever recover from being a soulless microtransaction hell with predictable gameplay? Or will the devs finally get their act together?

It's not really up to the devs they just follow orders from higher ups and investors, all devs do is bring those requests to life. Having said all that no I don't think COD (or any other big game) will recover from micro transactions cause its simply too profitable to quit this model. If they ever stop micro transactions its cause they found another way to make even more money from us the consumers.

Personally im buying only Treyarch games since black ops 3, infinity ward are too greedy and their game is every year more and more unplayable with the high SBMM (treyarch has it too but its way lower).
Call of duty had his golden age (cod4 - black ops 2), but its over now tbh.

The current state of Call of Duty in November 2024 is marked by the launch of Black Ops 6 and its integration with Warzone in Season 01. thats it tbh
