The thing is, these types of boosts never last and thus aren't all that important. Sure they can prolong the life of a community for a couple of months at best. Though when something barely manages to hang unto life, then it really isn't "living" to so speak.

To be fair we hadn't received many updates or bug fixed in a very long time because of the work on the new stuff so I think that will restore confidence in a lot of people

That... Oddly doesn't matter in most cases. People are more interested in "gaining new stuff". Which is evident in today's media for example. If a community wishes to actually "live" then it needs to change away from this concept. Ironically speaking, this is why contests generate activity for a short while. People want "stuff".

No but really the quanity of post went up but the quality went wayy down(please improve your posts you know who you are.). Im hoping this activity stays doubt it though.

Of course but seeing as stuff, other than just the contest (theme, features, divine, ect), has been added lately it sends a message to the users that the site isn't dead.
