Funny how people all of a sudden start to spam post and reply to shit once there is a contest. Loving how everybody just becomes 10x friendlier once a contest goes on.

But that's just me. Unpopular opinion.

Yup.

I mean I was very inactive up until about a week before the contest started, so I can't really say much about being dedicated over the last year or so

Not saying you specifically. But it kinda bothers me how fake some people are. Pretending to be friends just so they can spam post.

But again. Just me.

Of course but seeing as stuff, other than just the contest (theme, features, divine, ect), has been added lately it sends a message to the users that the site isn't dead.

No, the site isn't dead. But the community is dying because of it. When you swap out the few actual posts with millions of shitposts, you save the site at the cost of the community. That being said, even in the worst of cases, you can always scavenge some posts and people who post them here and there. Thus the community survives, but just barely.

Yeah I feel. A lot of people on the internet are obsessed with 'reputation' and will do anything to secure some positive points with someone

You're wrong. I'm not going to explain why as you're not a person you can debate with.
Yet, you're wrong.

In all honesty I like NBB, I always visit, but before, there was some useful, or maybe only meaningful stuff to read.
Now however there is mostly spam threads and useless threads. But, that's how I see it, I may be wrong.

I'm here every day for almost two years now. And by every day, I mean every day. The longest time I've been away was about three days.
I know how the community evolves, I know when someone's not active anymore etc.

It doesn't matter how much you want to prove it to me, I'll still know better. The site has grown in every aspect and I'm not only talking about numbers here.

My only counter-argument towards your "unlimited knowledge" as you claim is that I've been watching and following the development of communities, forums and general sites for 10 years and that I have an education that governs this field extensively. Though as I said, I never stated that the site hasn't grown. I stated that the community hasn't. Which are, no matter how much you try to deny it, two sides of the same coin.

One side needs the other as much as the other needs it. Yet the owner of forums these days are only interested in one side, because that is the one they can see the easiest. It's "easier" to ignore the other side and just blame it's death on others, like the community itself.

Also, note that I have been checking up on this site consistently from even before I signed up the first time. So my counter-argument also stands for this site specifically. (Albeit not singularly.)
