They do care. It's just that they don't necessarily care about the end users, that's the developers that do. The big cheeses are the ones that only care about the company from an economic perspective.

So the devs care but they don't get the ressources to actually make it safe?

It's always the corporate side of companies giving the okay for devs to do shit. Believe me, most devs give a shit and actually care about what they're putting out there. That goes with anything, really. People want to be proud of what they make for the world to use. They want to be proud of the music people listen to. The art the people see. But when it comes down to it, money talks, and it has a voice bigger than the devs.

I see. Man that's actually sad to imagine and believe. I mean like.. it just shows that money rules everything, which is sad and stupid.

It's at it's worst when you, the end user, can actually see and feel it. This goes especially for the gaming industry.

You mean when your account gets hijacked?

Yeah, and you have to talk to an underpaid part-time job customer support agent over the phone after waiting 30 minutes on hold and talking with basic AI.

This bothers me a lot, i had my acc hijacked once and it took me a long time to get it back.
All my personal stuff was connected to it..

I mean the best thing you can do is put as little personal information on the internet as possible. It's hard to avoid but that's really the best personal security you can take. I suppose that becomes difficult when you're on Instragram/facebook, etc.

I honestly can't still believe Yahoo is a thing it seems like Yahoo died years ago. I can't even remember my old accounts but for the people using it I hope they switch elsewhere because after looking up this is happening frequently to Yahoo.
