#1 Not really sure why, but at times I think about why I search online for free games or free software.and haven't ever really had an open discussion with anyone on it before, asI never really stayed on the web in one spot for long, always found myself drifting off to the next website or community, never really called anywhere home.
After readingAoki post about the Steam Winter Sale, it made me wonder why I've never really bought any games on steam thru any of their sales. Or really why haven't I supported any dev in the past on any of their projects. I'll be 34 next year and back in high school I came across hack3r.com (to give you an idea of how long they been around, and it's mainly a dead site now with nothing being posted much in the last 4+ years.) I quickly realized how easy it was to obtain stuff for free.
After high school I got into photography and web and graphic design pretty heavy, and of course, no matter how many graphics I sold, how many websites I did, or how many photos I took. They was all edited with "FREE" software. Also, before photography, web design, ect, I was heavy into console gaming as a kid and quicklythe Internet and it was all over from there. Started with something called "Web TV" back in the mid 90s, mainly logging into IRC channels to engage in role play. Quickly after that Diablo 1 was released and I started playing that non-stop until I just couldn't stay awake anymore and had to sleep.
The real fun began when Ultima Online was released and I quickly realized that people would pay you to give them in game accounts or in game money or I could pay someone else to do all the boring leveling for me and I could enjoy the real fun of the "end game" content. Even tho RMT (Real Money Trading) is deemed "illegal" by game companies TOS and EULA, it brings in millions of dollars a year, and after seeing that companies are now doing the so called "Microtransactions" within their games.
Now, here I am today almost 21 years later and I'm online writing in a forum that honestly I joined last night to try and get some free MyBB skins or plugins as I'm once again trying to build another gaming community for myself and fellow gamers to come together and enjoy the things we like. But with sites like NOSteam updating games for free daily and other sites providing free access to software, it seems I've lost all interest over the years to actually buy games. And I could sit here all night long and for the next 100 years talking about gaming I probably shouldn't do that.
So on my closing note, the girlfriend bought me a new Blue Yeti mic and some headphones to go with them for Christmas and they are wrapped under the tree waiting on me Sunday morning, I been trying to get back into streaming more here lately and just building a gaming community like I use to run.

#2 I honestly feel you on the whole "why haven't I supported these people." My excuse is "I'm 16 with my only chance of buying things online are visa gift cards, and I have no means of getting to a store to get them yet (have permit. No license)"
I heard the Blue Yeti is an amazing mic. Although I preferred the Snowball due to how much cheaper it is with pretty much the same mic quality that the Yeti gives you.
I'm honestly glad you decided to post here, due to the fact that you do seem like a cool, intelligent person that would make a great addition to the forum
If you want. You can PM me your forum. I'll be happy to join, and I'll try to check out your streams whenever I am available!

I know what you mean about the money situation, even at 33 I'm working a low pay job, gf currently not working, so I'm paying all the bills. So it can be rough at times.
I was looking at getting the new mic from Razer, the Seiren, but decided I needed new headphones while I was at it and these so called "gaming headphones" aren't really worth it, it's better to get a nice pair of studio headphones since I was getting a studio quality mic.
I appreciate the gesture, I'm just a pretty simple country boy from the sticks with a nerdy side for technology.
As for the forum, I keep deleting everything and starting over from scratch. Tried Vbulletin (couldn't get it to work right so deleted it), tried PhpBB, keep trying MyBB but can't seem to get any of the "Free" plugins to work right.
I ran 4 competitive Overwatch teams back when Blizzard released the game and they all pitched in and got a domain and hosting for a year thru GoDaddy and that was back in June and I have yet to do anything with the site, as the guy who said he was going to help me up and left without saying anything. So I was stuck on my own trying to run a gaming community once again alone. Since then I've kind of abandoned my discord and quit doing anything with Overwatch. Then she offered to buy me the new headset and mic for christmas and it got my interest peaked back into streaming more and I started messing with the website.

If you need any MyBB help. Aoki, Onii-San, or me come to mind.
Aoki and Onii know a ton of shit about mybb, and I'm sure that they would be willing to help as long as you contribute to the forum enough
As for me. I consider myself to know my way around. So if you have any short questions, feel free!
See you around!
