It seems silly to mine BTC anymore, too much time to make nothing tbh

best thing about bitcoin mining for me, is how quickly the hardware becomes obsolete so I can pick it up for 1/5th of the price.s

I mined 42.5 BTC in 2012.

Mining BTC hasn't been profitable for YEARS unless you're a massive company that is going to invest $100k+ into these endeavors.

I made a few hundred dollars mining ethereum in 2017. It was pretty easy, but I'd have to get access to someplace with a ton of electricity and invest a lot of money into hardware to make it worthwhile. I honestly don't know if mining is worth it because of the costs involved of electricity, and perhaps if you had a good enough rig you should be okay but I personally do not.
