I really want to be active on this forum, but seems like the chit chat zones are kind of dead, not a lot of things going on. The discord thing is a good idea, make people interact here instead of the Discord, that might spice things up and make it seem more alive.

I feel like with discord people are like "Why go post in the chit chat zone when I can just message through discord?"

I'd prefer to talk over at the chit chat zone instead of Discord. Since it's not active, this would make it.

Can you tell me how in this case, a big forum, rewards it's users?

Ask Aoki, he agreed.

One I thought of was credits for upgrades. Generally being able to buy more usable features with credits. Maybe paying credits to add or change signature slots. Maybe paying some credits to change avatar. Pay to change username? Basically the more you contribute and stay active the more you can do idk.

I kind of disagree with the whole discord implication.
In other communities, I've noticed that heavy global community integration has improved activity.

It's different when you integrate another means of communication to an already inactive community. If we were a really big forum with hundreds of posts a week than yeah, discord would be a cool idea, but right now it's doing more harm than good.

I completely disagree with the discord thing. Personally, I still wouldn't post even if the discord was gone. There's just no drive to want to post.

Having a conversation via posting is more of a chore than just using an IRC

I know "big numbers" and everything but having a chat client like discord makes it so much easier to just talk to people. Since it's usually instant

But you decide to post now. Why? Idk, maybe this topic is meaningful, who knows?

But that's one of the problems on Nulled. Members aren't participating in the forums sadly. You see dozens of members log in yet 5% actually post.

Anyways, using discord to talk to people is OK. The Nulled discord is the problem. Want to message and talk to friends and forum members? Sure, USE discord, that's fine! But having a Nulled Discord will suck activity away. What makes it worse is channels. It's like discord IS the forum. For example, the music channel. This would be useful for the music sections here on Nulled and the Harmony group. Also many Discussions and topics discussed on Discord could have been made on Nulled, trust me, there were plenty of things that could have been threads.

Again, I blame most of the members including myself for not providing enough activity.

Credits for upgrades will never happen. It's the main source of income which we need to for pay servers, cdn, graphics and fund events.
We won't provide buyable features for credits which upgraded members have. Kinda defeats the purpose of upgrading.

Yes, but the forum has a small amount of activity, this way the forum can get more active and more ppl can get to know each other. More new people will come seeing this forum is active, and they will decide to stay and be active as well.

I guess I count as one of the many upgraded members who log in and doesn't post. When Nulled launched I was among the top posters, I was 5th or 6th to break 1,000 posts. I've owned a group and been active on/off this forum since it launched (relaunched). Mostly I've swayed away from forums in general, I still use a few sure and Nulled is always the forum I'd call my home but I don't personally see any engaging conversations. I mean last year I bought a group and lost a hefty sum when I sold it, this is just the way it works. I had amazing ambitions for the group but the overall activity to the board didn't help me at all. As per what Aoki said, groups reband and accept anyone, Archive didn't do that, I added a limited amount of users and held polls for invites to the group. I made assessments and forced all users to participate in classes. I mean sure it didn't work but I tried. I have done a lot on these forums and dropped a lot of money into them through donations, upgrading people and upgrading myself but in the long run of things I still don't come here and post now. The forums are as you said full of leeches and dead end conversations. There is the Discord which to some extent replaces the need to post, however, when I was active I'd be talking to someone on Discord and engaging in a totally different conversation on the forums with the same user. I agree Nulled needs to progress to giving users rewards for their actions and also focusing on the Credit system and making it something bigger and better. We also do need to acknowledge that the community of active users is small, sure there are 100+ members online but maybe 20-25 active. The forums are in a hard stage a the moment and I think not a rebrand but point in a new direction may help. I think the first step in the right direction would be introducing a Community Team, a team similar to Writers but more focused on the community aspects. Helping generate content with different factors and strategy. I don't know if it could work but I do think that it would be worth giving a shot. Heck, I have ideas that might get Nulled rolling but I'd rather not speak about them publicly, would be to Aoki directly on that matter for further waging discussion. Anyways I know my post is massive but I wanted to be honest and give the opinion of one of those not so active users to this thread. I do hope that in some way or format this helps. You're onto something about making the community more active and I hope your flame doesn't burn out buddy. Run with this and see what happens!
