GMOD is dying

Isn't Garry working on a second one anyways? More VR based and etc?

I think in a way it's not exactly Gmod that's dying but the servers that are causing it. Some of them can be quite fun but the DarkRP ones have become quite toxic where even in DarkRP itself has a message from the creator bashing the sorry state of how the addon is used on nearly every server. Over restrictive rules, not enough rules or just Admins who are there solely for a power-trip.

GodMode don't make sense playing game

GMod Server Owning is very elitist. Only the best are the best and the worst stay the worst because they dont get help but the best do.

20K people still play Garry's Mod for 14 years and you call it dying ?
