Has anyone tried it? Is it good? Is it still a gimmick?

I really want to know if it's just an experience thing, or if you'll really come back for more...

I'm making a decision whether to make a room with 4 different VR sections, each with a gaming rig and HTC Vive setups. There's a company that will be in charge of giving us the software they developed to make it more arcadey, where the client select the game(s) they want to play along with a time limit displayed so they know when their time is up. It will have leaderboards as well which is what I was hoping for , for the returning customers.

I work at an arcade and I'm working with the owner on making decisions on games and stuff. I've dealt with arcade machines and what not

Vr has come a long way, but is it too soon to make the jump into VR gaming in arcades? I've seen it before in other places but, I'm hoping to achieve higher customer return rates.

We plan on buying almost every game available, so customers have many things to choose from on our custom gamechoosing platform.

Seems like it would be nice, but how would you price it?
Buying 4 setups and "almost every game available" will cost big money.
yeah

Adding on to this, we will be using Steam along with our custom platform. Plus it will come with licenses and all the legal stuff so we can use the games for profits, etc.

Trust me, the owner has the money. The building's assets are worth over 2 million dollars. The place makes bank. The custom platform it will be ran at has a time limit. So it will probably be depending on the games. $X per 15minute games, $XX per 30 minute games.

It won't be that much, most like under 15 dollars.

One more question, are all of the setups going to share one account?
How is that going to work? Are you going to buy 4 copies of one game and distribute it between the setups?

but i think that would be a pretty sweet idea, i'd go everyday if i could.
yeah
