OP make sure you have the required specs when upgrading to a new graphics card, i made the mistake once of upgrading and having a shitty power supply then having to throw some money for a new psu, i recommend using pcpartpicker to add your current parts and then put the graphics card u are thinking of getting, that site almost always 99% of the time gets compatibility issues (if there are any)

1060 sounds like the way to go, I have a 1080 and im lovin' it. Although it cost me $799.

You can buy GTX 1060, GTX 970, good graphics cards, personally I use GTX 970 and I'm really bad at it!

A GTX 1050 or 1060 is a good GPU for starters, and for slightly strong games, they are cheap and good for all sorts of gaming!
