I dont see the point of this? Obviously you want people in the community but people should not be forced to, imagine how many more hits this site could get if they were not so restrictive

They don't want people here for free shit, of course there's a point.
Hits don't really matter, this forum is a community only way they make money is through donations for ranks + ads.

The thing is, I applaud file-sharing communities for establishing some kind of policy. Leeching is bound to happen but that members also have to contribute in some fashion in order to access content. While I run my own anime community, it's a problem with forum spam and members who just want to inflate their post count. As an administrator or moderator, you have to actively monitor members who abuse your community resources.
