Instead of using Stremio and Popcorn time, you should use other apps like yesmovies app. Though it's blocked in many countries but you can get yes movies unblocked very easily. With just the use of VPN.

Google Chrome, Steam (if you are a gamer), Discord/Skype/Teamspeak (your preference), flux is great if you are on your PC a lot.

A Web browser : Firefox Quantum is my favorite.
A good media player. For videos I really like GOM Player. It's not open source but it's free.
A good text editor like ultraEdit or SublimeText.

And any application that you might use for working.

I have found it difficult to operate without basic Microsoft Office suite. Also, I am pretty heavily dependent on several Adobe products (Acrobat, PS. ect)
