Would you tell someone if you didn't like their gift?

If it was someone like a familiar member, no. However, if a close friend gave it to me, I'd tell them then joke about it. Nonetheless, 'd appreciate the gift either way.

i mean it depends on who it is and if i dont wanna hurt his or her feelings

For real close friends I would be honest, but for anybody else I would probably be too shy to tell

Its the thought of the gift that counts, so probably not.

I'd feel heartbroken for the person who gave me the gift. Unless it was a joke gift, of course. I think it's the thought and affection of giving gifts that counts the most, so I don't mind much.

I think for a good and close friend you could say it but.

just for someone "new" I don't think it sounds cool enough or something like that.
