Isn't it actually the other way around? The dev give a price idea but steam sets the price at the end?

Yeah, that's what I was trying to explain but the dev has most of the decision.

This year they kinda flopped on their sales. There was no fancy artwork with a cool structure. Was just kinda like: "Here, have a handful of games at 20% off"

Yeah same here, I think steam is really dumb too because it never has anything good.

No, not really. There have been a couple of good classics on sale such as the valve complete bundle that was reduced from around 160 to 9!

The steam sales have slowly degraded over time. They use to be so good about 3-4 years back both winter and summer sales.

well it's not up to steam to decide what the price for a game will be, the developer does

Steam is amazing, I used to think wow this is really expensive and I used G2A for a while to get some cheaper games , but after getting a Xbox one for Christmas and I have looked into all of their game's most game's on steam are atleast 3/4 of the price cheaper, like for example Wolfenstein is around 40 in game where as on steam 20 So actually I think steam is quite good and quite cheap
